Do you know a nice restaurant nearby?
It might be the most frequently asked question I get in the morning at breakfast or during check-in. And rightly so! Roermond is bursting with culinary hotspots. To be honest, there are so many that I haven’t been able to visit them all myself yet.
With so much choice, it’s hard to decide. That’s why I’d love to share my personal favourites. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, cozy shared dining, or pure luxury: these are my ‘Stef’s Specials‘ for a night out in Roermond.
Is there something for you? We recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment.
Cozy in the Old City Centre
In the heart of the city, within walking distance of our B&B, you will find countless nice spots. These are my recommendations for a relaxing dinner:
Souave
This restaurant is slightly off the main route to the centre, but it is close to our B&B and is more than worth the small detour. Here you can enjoy very high-quality shared dining fusion cooking from the Mediterranean area. An absolute surprise and highly recommended.

Fancy Italian? But really good Italian? Then this is the place to be. Don’t expect standard pizza, but refined classics that simply taste better than elsewhere.

This is an experience in itself. The interior is delightfully ‘kitsch’ and incredibly cozy. They work with an international menu and the popular shared dining concept. Stef’s Tip: This is also a very good option if you want to eat vegan or vegetarian!

Are you a real meat lover? Stop searching. They have an amazing Bavette here. The atmosphere is rugged and the grill is always on.

Sometimes you just crave a good, freshly made burger, and that’s exactly what you’ll find here. You can even compose your own burgers! It’s a cozy restaurant with a wonderfully relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Just cozy dining. Here you order nice little dishes to share while enjoying a good glass of bubbly (or wine). Perfect for unwinding after a day of shopping.

Located on perhaps the most beautiful spot in Roermond: a picturesque little square in the Voorstad district (Sint Jacob). In the summer, you can sit wonderfully under the trees on the terrace, and inside, it is intimate and cozy. The menu is modern European, and the wines are excellent. Truly a must-visit for the atmosphere!

Fine Dining & Luxury (Culinary Indulgence)
Do you have something to celebrate or do you want to treat yourself to high-level culinary indulgence? Roermond has a few beautiful gems for a complete evening experience:
Restaurant One
For the ultimate experience: this restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star. A household name in the region.
Bij het Gerecht
Cooking at a very high level is central here. They work with a fixed, changing menu based on the best seasonal products, so you are always surprised. The incredibly kind owners create an intimate and warm atmosphere and provide excellent wine-pairing advice.

Just (slightly) outside the centre (Worth the effort!)
Sometimes it pays to look just outside the shopping streets. These restaurants are a short distance from B&B Willem II and are more than worth the small walk:

Located in the ECI Cultuurfabriek. A very nice Bistro Bar with a cool, industrial atmosphere.

Fancy something different than the beaten path? This Lebanese restaurant is located just outside the centre and is an absolute must-try for lovers of Middle Eastern cuisine

A very nice restaurant with a Mediterranean cuisine. In nice weather, you can enjoy dining in the sheltered inner garden (reservations are advisable).
